Hello all, Yesterday I spent the day at the fabulous National Railway Museum in York. I've visited the museum a couple of times in the past but it's always different year after year. If you're a railway enthusiast of any kind, this is the museum for YOU! And, best of all, it's FREE! In fact, if you haven't been to the NRM yet, how can you call yourself a railway enthusiast?! Get yourself over there! Today, as well as taking lots of pictures, I decided to get a bit of film. Therefore, this compilation video results, showing shots from inside the Great Hall and Station Hall. Exhibits featured:- *4-6-0 Hall Class "Hogwarts Castle" (5972 "Olton Hall") *0-4-4 LBSCR "Gladstone" *4-6-0 GWR Star Class "Lode Star" *4-6-0 GWR King Class "King George V" *4-6-2 Princess Coronation 6229 "Duchess of Hamilton" *4-6-0 Black 5 No5000 *2-2-2 Midland "Spinner" *4-4-0 Hardwicke TO NAME BUT A FEW!! (You will see many more locomotive's in this film). The NRM, for Free as well(!), is by far the best railway museum in my opinion and offers something for everyone. As well as the Great Hall and Station Hall there are other exhibits such as:- *The Works = See engine's being restored or overhauled to their former glory. At the moment, 4472 "Flying Scotsman" is in for overhaul. *The Warehouse = See everything from Signal Arms to perfect 5" gauge models of fabulous locomotives. From station toilets to headboards to totems to benches to models to directors chairs to drawings to Dolly signals! There is ...
